Roses for you...

I have already mentioned in my last post how much I loved the papers from Lil bee's kit for this month. The minute I saw the lovely roses ,I knew I had to use it .This is what I came up with .My fascination with Bows continues.Peach  and cream is already a  wonderful combination,we all know that, add apple green to it and we have a combination made in heaven.
I thoroughly enjoyed making this card and hope you all love it too.

Happy Mother's Day

This months kit from Lil'l bee's was amazing. As soon as I got it ,my mind was buzzing with ideas as to how I could use it.Some of the papers were colours that I rarely use .
This is my first presentation for this month:
This card is for all those wonderful mothers ......there is no one like MOM .My new discovery --- stickles and glossy accents.I try to find excuses to use them !!The stickles that I have used on the lettering is amazingly easy to use and enhances the overall look.I have coated the flower with Glossy accents.Gives it a nice finish and its acid free too , so no problems there . I am proud of my little bow .Its the first halfway decent bow that I have managed to make .You will be seeing more of bows ,stickles and glossy accents from me in the future ,guess I can safely say I am in love ...

The Quilled flower is from Alli  Bartkowski's new book. Its filled with lovely ideas.

Holidays finally !!

The term Summer Holidays sure conjures up lazy days spent in the sun  doing nothing in particular. That was then ....Now, however , its something else..need to think of things to keep my daughter busy or rather away from the computer ..Fortunately this year the weather in Dubai has been fantastic till now so am planning to make full use of it and spend as long as posible outdoors .

What with the exams, I couldn't craft much .so I was in a hurry to quill something....
Came up with these 2 cards in about an hour.Have been splurging on Martha Stewart punches...doesn't she have the most amazing designs ???This one however I borrowed from a Friend.....(Thanks Shabala )... ostensibly to check it out.So when checking it out ,I had punched out a few cards .

The punch is absolutely lovely and is complete by itself and doesn't need much by way of embelishments.....
Have to add  that the distressing on the pink card looks much better in real than in the picture
